Wallpaper INSTALLATION

Designed to be DIY

Unlike traditional wallpaper, there’s no need for messy glue or the need to steam for removal. Our peel and stick wallpaper allow for easy installation, and the ability to transform your room in an instant.

HOW TO PREP YOUR WALL

The optimal wall texture for a seamless installation is a smooth, primed, painted and cured wall with little or no surface variation.

Note: failure to prepare your walls may result in your wallpaper not sticking or potentially causing damage during removal of your wallpaper.

CLEAN YOUR WALLS.

Remove all traces of dirt and flaking paint. Ensure your wall is clean of lint, dust and dirt.

REPAIR ANY DAMAGE.

Repair any damage on the existing wall such as imperfections, cracked or inconsistent surfaces, and remove any picture hooks.

PRIME, PAINT AND CURE.

Ensure your wall has been primed, painted and cured as per the paint manufacturers requirements. Please avoid paints that claim to be Washable as they have surfactants in them that will prevent our wallpaper sticking to the paint. Our installers recommend gloss or semi-gloss acrylic paints to prep your wall. Don't forget to allow your paint to de-gas for a minimum of 10 days before applying the wallpaper.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

FIND YOUR FIRST PANEL.

Find your first panel, marked on the reverse of your wallpaper indicated by L1C1 (panel 1).

PEEL IT BACK.

Peel back the backing sheet about 10cm from the top.

LINE IT UP.

Starting from the left, line up the top edge with your ceiling or cornice.

SMOOTH IT, SLOWLY.

Smooth it onto the wall with a dry cloth, moving down the panel 10cm at a time, slowly. Work your way down and outwards to remove the bubbles. If the alignment is out, simply reposition the panel.

AND REPEAT.

Continue on with the remaining panels (L1C2 - panel 2, L1C2 panel 3 and so on). Remembering all additional panels have a 10mm overlap.

TRIM IT.

After installing all panels, use a Stanley knife and straight edge to remove any excess wallpaper.
