Lara Scolari is a Sydney-based contemporary Australian artist known for her large-scale, gestural abstract paintings exploring the energy, movement and unseen rhythms of the Australian landscape. Working from her Balmain studio, she builds each work through many translucent layers of ink, acrylic, pastel, oil stick, metallic leaf and expressive mark-making — atmospheric, energetic paintings that lend themselves naturally to architectural scale. Through Luxe Walls, a single artwork can become a dramatic full-wall statement or a quieter enlarged detail celebrating colour, texture and movement. Lara also works collaboratively with designers, architects and commercial clients to select artworks, crops and scale that respond to a specific site.
